Pattern Making, Material Sourcing, Sample development & production for LUI.

Drop 01:

1. Black and lilac work shorts and work pants in parachute fabric with white contrast top stitching, utility pockets and full mesh lining

2. Black half parachute, half semi-wool pinstripe, with full mesh lining

3. Black and lilac casual jacket in parachute, with custom YKK zippers, white contrast top stitching, utility pockets and full mesh lining

4. Black suit in parachute with custom digitally printed lining in poly-silk. The suit was a collaboration with Zodiac Jakarta.

Drop 02:

1. White and black bomber jacket with quilted lining, in parachute with double tricot

2. White and black ‘Denim Jacket’, in parachute with double tricot, fully lined with single parachute

3. White foldable Anorak Jacket in parachute, with hood, elastic strings, stoppers, and custom YKK zippers

4. White and Black trousers, in parachute with double tricot, fully lined with single parachute

5. Orange Fatigue jacket in parachute, with utility cargo pockets, fully lined with single parachute.

Minute details are key to the sample development and production of Lui’s garments, as well as achieving the right fit for each articles. Extensive sourcing were also done to find the right accessories for each garments such as metal rings, blue ribbons, waist ties and metal stud buttons. The classic garment types for both drops are all produced in unorthodox fabrication – parachute - which requires delicacy in every process of cutting, sewing, ironing and steaming. For Drop 02, all the parachute were bonded with double tricot to create structure that elevates the fit and looks of the jackets and trousers.

Drop 01 were produced in 2019 and Drop 02 in 2020.
