Uniform design for Potato Head Bali, Jakarta and Hong Kong.
Potato Head is a creative village by the beach in Seminyak, Bali, where music, art, design, food and wellness play together. The ground houses Potato Head Beach Club, Pizza Garden, Kaum Restaurant, Katamama Suites and Potato Head Studios.

Potato Head celebrates the values of local traditions, culture and craftmanship, presented in modern and contemporary manners whilst providing good times and doing good to the planet. With sustainability being a big part of their practice, they champion locally sourced, natural and/or recycled materials in their art installations, table wares, furniture, amenities, music stages to their site interiors & architecture
Embracing the same values, the uniform designs feature laid-back tropical Aloha Shirts with prints designed by the Potato Head creative team, an interpretation of a Balinese dancer. The shirts were paired with matching shorts and rattan woven hats for the poolside and bar service team, then paired with sleeker trousers and aprons for the restaurant team, all in natural cottons and rayons. This range of Aloha shirts were then translated into Potato Head Merchandise in various Indonesian folklore-based illustrations.
These looks were adapted into more formal looks for Potato Head Jakarta. For the brasserie right in the heart of the city, the tropical Balinese Dancer illustration were featured in smaller parts of the uniform such as sleeves, pocket and apron trimmings, creating sleeker looks with long sleeve shirts in more muted colourways.
All the garments were produced in Jakarta by Soberu Studio, and were developed together with the Potato Head creative team in the span of 2015 – 2017
